NEW CONSTRUCTION INSPECTIONS
I hired Second Opinion for my new home inspections. The first was the pre-drywall inspection which I was told could potentially uncover any problems before they got covered up by drywall. After the builders supervisor went through the home with us and documenting a few things, David Brownell spent additional time going back over the entire house more thoroughly. I was shocked when David discovered two plastic plumbing supply lines behind the insulation, that had been punctured by staples from the exterior. This problem would surely have developed into a leak down the road and perhaps even out of my warranty period. I can't imagine the inconvenience that would have caused by the removal of kitchen counters, cabinets and wall coverings to fix the problem. Besides some other significant things, he also discovered an air conditioning duct that had been pinched off by other contractors. Again something that would have been covered up and perhaps not discovered until we couldn't cool or heat that room sufficiently. I am glad I had Second Opinion with me for this very important inspection and look forward to his assistance with our final walk through.
